Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Next big change?

We have been through transformation, now San Ramon office change and the consolidation. Whats the next big change management is going to drag us through? They have to have something cooking up to keep us all on our toes and cause mass disruption to the company.

Next big change will be a significant reduction in Upstream, particularly in the petrotech ranks. If you're not exploring and your UCR is being run by AI and ML, no need for so many petrotechs.

I'd like to see management take a hit for once before taking it out on the rank and file.

When the recession really hits and the stock price dips to $70, they’ll do another 25% headcount redux. Prob 2023 Q4 through 2024 Q2. Stand up new org in Q3

Shrink, consolidate, repeat. That is the only option for a company (and industry) in a downward slide.
