Both ExxonMobil (3%) and Shell (7-8%) are giving one time inflation bonus. Any idea if Chevron will do the same?

Shell employees didn’t lose their 401k company contributions or their 9/80s
I got this right from the top. Stop complaining and get back to work.
To offset a couple years of inflation I expect at least a 15% structural raise across the board next year. Just 8 months away!
Yes, there is a document showing how we get CIP and kept our 401K match. It is kind of a silly thing as if you feel underpaid you are always free to leave. I think the main point is we did a decent job on not cutting pay during covid. In fairness I agree. Obviously we laid a good deal of people off but that is another story...
From shared energy townhall, Mike suggests we should expect good bonus and pay rises during next cycle. Doesn’t sound like there will be a one off bonus.
We got a little sales promotion going this month. First prize is an inflation bonus. Second prize - set of steak knives. Third prize is You’re Fired.
Apparently there’s a document circulating showing how much better CVX pay is to our competitors and how we get CIP and didn’t lose 401K match to justify why it all must go to stock buybacks and dividends
@3nlg+1hXH2UY4 It’s a new week now and still looking for that announcement you referenced. Oh well.
Your “Inflation Bonus” will be keeping your job. Be happy with that and don’t be greedy. You already have a highly paid job y many standards. Enjoy your good fortune.
Shell aren’t calling it an inflation bonus. They are calling it a profit bonus https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-62418653
I wouldn’t bank on us getting similar. We’ve got the townhall coming up soon, maybe someone will be brave enough to bring it up.
Inflation bonus? Just shut up, forget about it and get back to work!
Look for an announcement this week!!!!
Shell was a mid-year, one-time 8% bonus in August whereas XOM I believe was a 3% raise in base salary…..I would have preferred the latter.
Won't happen. MW is working to lower wages, especially for (now) overvalued petrotechs.
I heard that there was a layoff's board somewhere on this site, you know, where they discuss possibility of layoffs and related topics such as that, is this a different, company gossip, losers with no life or no other place to post site?
Yes Shell give 8% bonus this August
What is your source for this Shell 7-8% bonus? First I’ve heard.
No, the economy and demand will nose dive by year end and the profit will change to losses. Get ready for tough times and be happy to have a good paying job right now.
Are you people seriously trying to give MW a heart attack suggesting he gives some of his money to the plebs who generated the income. Go easy folks MW is not as young as he once wad. .
Those companies didn’t pay bonuses when Chevron did. I’d say we are still in a better position if not given a mid year bonus like Exxon and Shell. They have also lost their 9/80. Would you give that up for a mid year bonus. Count me out.
The company would be wise to give a bonus or cost-of-living raise, considering the recent performance of the company. Recognizing that us minions feel the inflation squeeze would be a game-changer for morale.
You're fooling yourself if you don't think it's a race to the bottom
Nope. We are likely to see 2023 be the OPG Reorg (aka Layoff) so why pay people more?
No way. Uncle Mike said inflation isn't that bad and wages shouldn't ever keep up with it.
