Did anyone get one today? I had them in the past, but just got a partiality meets expectations so wondering what's up. Thanks.

- J. Asked for a demo of the emergency call system test. Then he played with it a bit.
No big deal.
Go into WorkLag/Day and put in a bogus cell and email, there is NO obligation to let them waste time on our personal email or cell number.
Just getting you prepared for the scenario NYC has laid out, “So there’s been a nuclear attack. Don’t ask me how or why. Just know that the big one has hit.”
Isn't that the whole point of emergency communications? Doesn't seem likely that they would "announce" an emergency communication notice unless they were running an explicit test.
FWIW I've received an emergency contact during an actual emergency and the system works fine.
“If this had been an actual emergency, Charlie would have outsourced it to India and told you to get lost. This is a test of the emergency Wells Fargo broadcasting system.”
Set up a Google Voice number, and give WF that. Then just delete it when you're done with WF. Don't ever give WF your real phone number.
First hand knowledge: Don't think for a minute that your personal phone number doesn't get added onto somebodies Excel spreadsheet someplace, and then gets shared out to who knows who from there. You need to be able to cut WF off from calling your personal number at all hours of the night.
I got it too…and I was laid off last year!
"What good are emergency communications from WFC if no one knows what the they mean, or why they are getting them."
It literally said "this is a test."
If you don't know what that means, or why you got it... Why do you even work here?
I got two, ignored both.
Maybe someone should check all the data centers and see if they are online.
Many of the areas, the St. Louis HQ specifically have been hot this week and yesterday again, with massive flooding due to rain. 13” in one day. A lot of damage. I would guess that is the reason.
Yes, I received 2 texts & phone calls. It seemed odd so I called the Security Response Team & it is legitimate.
I think it’s a valid question. What good are emergency communications from WFC if no one knows what the they mean, or why they are getting them. Typical WFC worthlessness and confusion.
Similar to our smoke alarms going off erroneously so many times in our building that everyone now just ignores them.
There's healthy paranoia, then there's @OP
got work email & personal cell text. another mortgage employee, exceeds.
My wife got a call, one email, and two texts. She is in mortgage and got an exceeds.
Yes, people get these. This went into place a long time ago. Why the is a there a post on this?
Hey, I saw Charlie go in the bathroom and take a huge dump. I think I'll post it on thelayoff.
Just testing the piece of cr-p Wells Fargo BCP system. IN the event of a real emergency, I'm sure it would have failed just like the systems in recent fails.
I received 2 separate calls and no email. Bizarre.
Many people reporting these. Many thought they were spam or a phishing attempt. Didn’t attempt to answer the unknown cell phone. Some even didn’t get the email but got multiple texts. Others got texts, emails and a call.
Did you really create a post for this?
Partially meets isn't a ranking
