Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Senior Level Management has this perception

That ATT is seen as some premium stellar brand. Customers and Investors see it as run of the mill and even below average. TMobile is out there with far superior offers at better prices. In a commodity based environment that equates to growth for TMus and decay for ATT.

don't give any money to att for services. my lowly cable company service from charter blows any service away I get from att. don't care about the so called employee discount or not. you get sick of the billing and junk not working. my service from charter never goes down and their billing is plain and simple. they actually charge what they say they are going to charge, att are thieves and I plan on taking as much as I can from them,

If you a premium brand, you don't need to charge phony service fees. That is a clear sign that T ain't no premium brand.

They are delusional! They just keep drinking the koolaid. AT&T as a premium brand is an oxymoron.

They’ve been saying “premium brand” for years. The issue is customers don’t agree. No product innovation.

"Many employees believe 100% of the garble that’s spewed from upper mgmt"

You'd have to listen to it to believe it. I stopped listening to it years ago.

Below average describes AT&T workers too. They can't even appreciate their well paid jobs.

Their hubris won't allow them to even fathom that us peons might not be id--ts, or have some good ideas. They are so out of touch with reality it's pathetic. I haven't had a boss who has a clue how to do my outside tech job in 20 years. But they can look at GPS, take pics and send emails. I'll just keep cashing the checks and smile and wave.
And be smart enough to be stupid. ;)

Stankey has got to be the most hated CEO ever.

TMobile is out there with far superior offers at better prices.

TMobile committed to a 3 year price freeze as a condition of the merger with Sprint. Their better prices are hardly out of the goodness of their hearts. The moment that they can raise rates will be the moment that they do so.

The upper mgmt know they are in a losing situation. They will spin it to employees until the cows come home. Our financial situation is not as healthy as our competitors. There’s not much difference in wireless anymore, so most folks go for price and coverage around their home.
Unfortunately, the employee base doesn’t understand how business works.

The upper crust in this country is far detached from reality. Stankey is a jerk and 95% of the employee base wouldn't go the extra for him.
