Hey Retail. does it really work to Demo a dying high price service like directv stream or just do it to not get clipped? I feel its insanity lol. Every time i sell the service it comes back.

stick a fork in it ; if we had never blown all that money on directv and all of our streaming ventures - we could have spent it on mobility which correct me if I am wrong - is what has kept the company afloat. Stupid decisions being made on failed ventures.

In COR stores people turn when you mentioned anything with "Direct Tv" name involved! Literally you get cursings! The "T" will never learn! Stay out of the tv business! You loose everytime!

Why not demo it? What else will you do for eight hours? COR stores are generally always empty, demo's can help pass the time!

You're not "required" to demo it. You are only "required" to bring it up during the interaction. If you have a manager still bullying you into demos every time, I'd personally start to check them on this.

I know most employees are too scared to stand up for what's actually contractually required and what's not. But trust me, there is so little you actually are "required" to do that they claim you have to do its not even funny.

Use your down time to properly educate yourself with your union handbook, union rep etc on what your manager can and can't document you on when it comes to discipline.

Why do any extra work at all for this company when they do nothing but continue to take from their employees?

If you buy DTV Stream in the store you are a literal mo--n. Seriously. There is ZERO REASON TO BUY IT IN STORE. If you buy it from AT&Ts website, you get it for cheaper, you don't have to take that piece if cr-p box $120 box, you get 1 to 3 months free (depending on the promotion going on in any given month) AND you get the Unlimited Cloud DVR for free if you sign up online. You have to pay an extra $10 for that if you buy in store. So knowing that, WHY WOULD CUSTOMERS EVER BUY IN OUR STORE??

That's just one of the many reasons why more than half the streams sold in retail are getting returned

You know why the other half are getting returned?

But Oohhhh the great thing about our boxes is how integrative they are...it's a Fire Stick at 4 times the cost.

Heres the other kicker

What pops up the second you load up YouTube any time on our DirecTV boxes? THE PRICING FOR YOUTUBE TV. AND GUESS WHAT? ITS THE SAME EXACT SERVICE FOR CHEAPER, DOESNT REQUIRE A CREDIT CHECK AND DOESNT REQUIRE A STUPID BOX FEE (if you were d-mb enough to sign up for DTV Stream in stores to begin with)

Have I given enough valid reasons why our product is a failure in stores or is some manager choking on the expired company kool-aid going to come in and claim my easily referenced facts are just excuses? Because if so, please tell me what part of any of that was incorrect?

Thanks
