Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

did anyone catch the #unscripted Stankey internal call this morning?

Did anyone tune in to Stankey's Q&A on earnings around lunch time?

I was busy with an allied sales issue and missed it (just kidding, actually I'm remote so I was watching Price is Right. Just ask Elon Musk or John Donovan. /s)

Curious as to what he said, and there appears to be no reply yet (and possibly never, as this was "unscripted").

Corporate media production is too chicken sh-t to post the replay video, must’ve been really good.

Yes I did and it was brutal! Stankey needs to take a long walk off a short pier.

"Stankey needs to go. He has alienated the entire workforce at T. His vision of treating all employees like a bunch of hayseeds will lead to his demise."

Nobody here will ever forget his arrogance right after taking over so nobody's buying his "normal guy ceo" clown act now

Why are not thousands AND the BOD demanding a change of the Wall of Shame fake CEO. The assistant manager at 7/11 would be an improvement.

T has become a laughing stock on Wall Street these days and has slowly deteriorating with no viable vision in sight! Will T be able to sustain itself at the current level of employees or will T be forced to start a reduction in headcount? It has already reduced the benefits package, so the most obvious next step would be to start there!

Very simple: The sooner the BOD replaces the unstable CEO Stankey, the sooner the company is more stable.

It is time for new top management, all gains were wiped out this year. Warner Media spinoff down over 40%. It is time for shareholders to dump this team. They are arsonists of shareholder value. There has to be better management available, a complete overhaul is needed starting with the CEO.

Stock is down premarket 7/22 because Barclays downgraded it citing management credibility. See CNBC pro for the article. Stankey has no background for running T and has been a total failure his entire career. He did nothing with wireless and turned it over to Donovan to go run DTV into the ground then to Warner who he choked to death and now is in charge of what is left of AT&T that he hasn't sold off. Cash flow is down and he can't explain clearly why.

Yes, layoffs are most likely the solution for T, but very unlikely for occupational personnel. Layoffs where they’re needed and still hiring in the growth areas of the business. Plain and simple!

Layoffs are imminent.

Yes I did. He did not even take the whole 30 minutes. It was clear he was not focused.

The first question was some business units have already put freeze on hiring and travel. Are layoffs next?

He said it is better not to travel with current state of travel and airports and tickets are expensive. He said inflation is putting pressure. He danced all around the layoff question, but did not rule it out.

He said we may be getting ahead of ourselves in some areas/work to enhance stuff we are doing. So for sure some projects are going to come to stop. He said something about we said we were going to spend x and we are spending x. But for some strange reason our cash flow is not what it is. Late payments? Who knows. Bad accounting?

It was a bad performance.

T share price dropped $1.61 today! Keep up the great work Pascal and Stankey. Cash flow is down because customers, on average, are paying their bills two days late.
