CEO panics on TCO

The CEO did not rule out the potential for disruptions facing Chevron's oil production in Kazakhstan, from where its oil moves through a pipeline that crosses Russian territory, saying that "anything that involves Russia carries a different level of concern today than it once did."

The only county with more risk than TCO is Venezuela where we never have managed to produce much and have been shut in for years now.

Maybe RY can help save TCO? Yea, I hear the laughter. I know she is worthless. I was actually trying to make a joke.

'Different level of concern'. Translation? We have no idea how to assess it, but we're scared of the possibility. We'll bury our heads in the sand and hope it goes away.

The CEO did not elaborate on the risk that 25% of Chevrons net reserves could be lost if Russia stopped pipeline use. He changed the topic of conversation to sports coaching. Then he told a funny joke which make PB giggle like a school girl.

I don't give management credit for much most of the time, but the quote in the OP doesn't say anything untrue- and it hardly seems like a panicked response. Am I missing something here?

I would like to go on summer vacay with CEO. Where do I sign up?

The CEO has to follow all those ethics courses on Chevron Way Behaviors we had to take year after year on international laws.

The CEO will still have a lovely summer vacay and holiday while the rest of us struggle to stay afloat.
