Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Tired of this place?

Leaving State Farm seems to me more and more like the only way to get my life back. Anyone who has spent more than five years here feels that they have partially lost control of their lives. Work-life balance for me has not existed here for a long time and I am totally burned out.

Totally fried! I give all I have to this company and it's customers, leaving little to nothing leftover for my friends and family. It has made me a grumpy insurance adjuster. I remember when I used to smile organically, that memory is fading.

They consider you an expense and not an asset. Until they consider their employees an asset, the company will continue to deteriorate at an exponential pace.

Still trying to figure out which company laptop you are using with a CRT. Time to ask for an updated model. I'd be mad too!

@3wjl $125k plus bonus or including bonus? I just want to check and see how much money I should give back.

Remember! If you are a CA or a CS, it's all about power and control of you as a hamster in the wheel. You are in a company that if you question in the smallest way their hard sell, you are out and under the microscope or are on their radar.

If you are a TM making over 125K a year, YOU ARE OVERPAID!!!!

When it is culture for systems to demean and target women over a certain age and harass them and stalk them it will only get worse. Digital loves this way or work. And id--t management.

@1dnf. Economy down insurance up. 8.5% inflation and just announced the economy shrank 1.4%. Take your record profits and shove them because you're gonna see changes like you've never seen before. The woke failures are finally coming to the surface. People will no longer live off other people's money just as shown in socialism. It runs out and insurance is pure socialism. People are upset and it's time for change and this holds true a SF. The days of the elites lining their pockets off the middle class are OVER!

Disgruntled college grad who wants the boomer to pay for his college debt. My payment will be hand delivered in my dirty diaper.

@1qqx-truthful brahahahah. You are fantasy in your own mind. You are overpaid as it is. If not seek employment elsewhere. Oh wait, jobs are too plentiful except for the marginal performers. Look in a mirror. You are lucky to have this job.

So I work with a lot of people that believe they are compensated fairly. Would they and me like more money sure who would turn that down. Do we believe we are being screwed absolutely not.

Disgruntled no. Truthful yes. What are all those records worth when the workforce doing all the work did not get compensated commensurate with the outcome. I call that selling a lie hence unethical.

Your definition of ethics is just one disgruntled opinion. The results are universal facts.

Record production, record profit, record capital position . Hardly any error….

@1oin If you had leadership that gave a sheet about the workers, no one would have that feeling. If we believe that WE ALL make mistakes, how is it that management will never admit the made an error? This is why SF has major issues. No one has complete control over anyone. They win when they make you feel less than human. As Clint Eastwood said in Heartbreak Ridge: Don't give the P R I C K the satisfaction!

If only it was legal to leave a job you don’t like……that would solve the issue.

Same boat, will be here almost 6 years this fall. I have been looking around but I'm tempted to switch industries altogether I just don't know to what. I felt so much freedom and relief being on vacation for a week. I had no idea how much this place was really dragging me down.

Remember.... you are a minion, you are a kid, you are not to have an opinion, you are nothing but a number to be used and tossed around like an insignificant object. If you have any opinion other than the group opinion, you are canceled. Remember! There are three things all their money can't buy. Your time, your health and your integrity. Times are changing and it's not even November yet. Elon is just the beginning. Truth will always win over name calling and cancel culture. OP! DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR HEALTH!
