Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Finally started responding to recruiters!

It feels so good to interview for roles outside of Honeywell.

Don’t lose hope!

Excellent. Very pleased for you! If you find something outside you won't look back and will realize how down and sad the place really is!

There is light!

Honeywell. lol

The recruiters are quite possibly the most useless part of HON - and I realise how bold a statement that is.

Getting the job done is not the goal at Honeywell.
Goal is to transfer customer money to Honeywell execs and shareholders.

When I first started my mentor , who died a few years after retiring like most Honeywell middle managers and directors, told me that coming in on time for a government job is great, coming in two years late and 100% over budget will get you promoted. Observation of even the most recent large defense projects proves he was right. Those leaders, especially if female, used lies and mismanagement of funds to get big promotions.

My new colleagues can't believe how budget minded I am. I told them that I had to fight tooth and nail at Honeywell just to get half the resources, personnel, and funding needed for each project. One of my new colleagues asked how anything gets done that way. That's a very good question. At my new company, they don't make me do $500 of paperwork to get $200 in overtime approved. My manager just says to make sure to do what needs to be done and she'll approve the budget, including overtime. She trusts me. Now, that's leadership and empowering employees to get the job done!
