There don't seem to be any new rumors about layoffs. Does this mean that there won't be any cuts soon?

There are cuts being made. There warehouse in Columbia and Boston are closing down.
They should start again soon. As the company shrinks, the workforce must follow.
There will never again be any substantial layoffs, unless there is a corporate buyout or merger at which time redundant organizations could be eliminated.
Until or if that happens, reductions will mostly be from attrition and small pointed RIFs that don't make the news.
There were several towards this year. The xerox elite does not like for employees to share that kind of information.
Hiring freeze? Shocking that someone would be desperate enough to apply for a job there. Even the worst of the worst smooth-brain poor-credit Nissan driving must know better. Really?
didnt you guys glean anything from today's announcements?
Word is there's a hiring freeze.
They don’t mention them because they have learned to keep them small enough that they don’t need to disclose. Cost reduction is a corporate ‘code word’ and most assuredly means lay offs.
I think they are below 20,000. 140,000 when I worked there...
No employees left at Xerox to layoff = no more posts
No.
There were layoffs in February and March on the direct side. Not the huge amounts like we saw in the two waves in 2018 and the outsourcing done in 2019, but still 5 to 10 names I knew or recognized. So they're still happening, just in smaller batches. And I'm sure they will continue because print volumes still haven't recovered.
