Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I get that they don’t care but this is too much.

They get rid of good working men too easily. Then they expect the remaining folks to pick up the workload of 2 or perhaps 3 people and to do it in the same timeline. Then they criticize the overworked employees for not getting things done .
I get that they don't care but this is too much. Most of us are looking for new jobs. If this way of treating employees continues one has to wonder if anyone will be left to do the work

been to one company since I left and I can attest other companies are completely opposite of att. people are so nice at my new company and are not nasty. plus I am making more and actually given work where I don't have to fight for work because it was given to somebodies niece, nephew, uncle, brother, sister, grandchild or whatever.

nice to be in a normal situation. something is not right at att and their stock price shows it.

He's right, there are, but they have no clue what kind of company or job they are getting, Money doesn't always talk when you are bullied by imcompetent managers.

Randy said there are thousands standing in line every day to take your job.

I never saw a single one. 25 years and 13 managers later, I am still on the payroll. 12 of the 13 managers are not.

AT&T workers aren't very productive. Getting rid of workers just aligned them to be as productive as other in the same industry.

no not all companies are ran like that. been to two since I left att and they are complete opposite. They hire and manage their people and workload. haven't heard the word layoff since I left att. att couldn't manage their way out of a wet paper bag.

vp and above need to go and maybe lower. nothing to be proud at att. other companies run rings around them.

Sadly, the OP's rant could be about pretty much any corporation in America. Welcome to our special version of Capitalism!
