Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Off balance

When I first applied here, I had no idea that I wouldn't have any work life balance here. Perhaps others knew that this is one of those companies that lacks that balance? While working at HW, I involuntarily turned into one of those people whose whole life is reduced to their work alone. I thought I would be able to regain some control over it, but that didn't happen.

You have to stand up for yourself and stop letting yourself be taken advantage of.

Sorry to say, but all talented employees have already left or are about to resign. Honeywell is bad for your CV. Persons who want to be nothing more than average stay in Honeywell

I left after 25 years when it became clear it would be impossible to get the overwhelming and increasing workload done. Mainly due to the environment becoming increasingly toxic over the last 10 years so all the talent and experience had left or was leaving.

The replies below are right - it’s a great job market and things are not going to get better at hon. They will keep deteriorating and extra effort was never properly appreciated there. I am so happy I left. Got a really nice raise, promotion, and working remote. Couldn’t be happier. Do yourself a favor and find a job with a better company while the offerings are good.

Totally understand.

Best thing is to quit, honestly. It won’t change. Terrible place to work. Directors make calls all hours of weekend to their underlings, for issues which clearly can wait.

Terrible company.
