Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I can’t say this enough

The constant whine on this board amuses me. You guys take this nonsense too seriously. It’s a paycheck with benefits ! Milk the company dry! Get paid , get as much OT as you can and go home and enjoy life with your family! Quit worrying about nonsense that is out of your control I don’t know if I will get laid off tomorrow but I do know I will never quit ! The work here is too easy ! Put in the bare minimum and get paid ! It’s that’s simple ! You and I cannot affect change here. So what’s the point of all the whining ? My job , as far as I’m concerned , is to maximize my paycheck. Word of advice: live simply. Live frugally. Live within your means. Pay off debt. You will be much happier. Get off the hamster wheel ! ! You’ll find your paycheck much more rewarding if it’s not all going to bills. I sold my house this year and now pay 700 a month in rent with no real bills. Life is good. Life is what you make it. I’m on the clock right now and visiting this site out of entertainment. I shake my head at all the Debbie downers. You could die tomorrow and no one at att will care. So stop caring about anything but your friends and family ! Find inner peace. Life is short and you get one pass. Carpe Diem mother truckers !!

If the board worries you so much about people complaining why are you still on here that’s kind of comical to me….

“Live frugal” “work overtime” ok... after doing that for a few years to make some goals happen, I will never ever waste my time like that ever again. Time is precious, and you can’t get it back. Stop wasting your life working for a mismanaged company and use your money to build a business

I agree about living in your means. Learn to do things around the house and save money and get a hobby. myself I like to paint.

teaching myself how to paint cars right now and it is a great stress reliever.

wife and i are millionaires and daughter is in her home stretch of getting her doctorate.
life is good. wife and i are still working but if something bad happened I think we would be okay.

my first and best decision was to leave att. been to two companies since and making more money and doing what I love. and guess what I haven't heard the word layoff or outsource since I left cesspool att.

att is one of the worse managed companies. hey but I am sure the government will save them if they get in trouble since they helped with spying on american citizens.

glad I took the pension buyout too I have a lot more money than if I let att keep it.
I don't trust att with anything much less my money I earned.

Don't give any more of my money to att and so life is good. streaming with my roku and using my providers app on roku and internet access and have not had one problem and their bills are not a venture in creative financing.

it is a shame because att could be so much more if it wasn't for the greed at the top.

OP, that lifestyle works for you and congratulations to you! As for myself, thanks to AT&T I live in an $825K home that is fully paid for and did it myself! I'm single, always have been and had a lifestyle that T provided me over the last several decades and when I finally retire, won't have a worry in the world! So, there is not just one solution to peoples budgets or lifestyles! It's what you want out of life and how you choose to live it. "If you're not living beyond your means, you're not living!" I swear by that and it has always served me well and thanks to a good wage from T over the years that I have accomplished all of my goals!

I’ve never seen so much entitlement in my life as when reading majority of comments from posters on this board!
