Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I keep applying, but I’m disappointed

Honeywell is lucky that some of us can’t leave as fast as we want to. I thought I would find a job much faster, so I'm a little disappointed that I'll have to be here for a while. How long did it take others to find another job?

I am an older worker who has the same problem. Just keep applying and even if it’s lower pay. I’ve been hearing for the people who have found new jobs. Do you have never been more happier. Money is not everything and you don’t need to put up with this toxic environment.

I found a great job one month after I started looking. LinkedIn was helpful in that it both made me aware of open positions to apply to, and let recruiters know I was available. The recruiter actually reached out to me for this one.

It took me almost two years. I started seriously looking in July 2020 with the big layoff. I turned down no less than 6 offers since then because they turned out to be not right for me. I finally left last month for the right opprotunity. Take the time to make sure the position is good and then get out of Dodge!

Recruiters, regardless of the company, are basically id--ts.

Keep your chin up and keep applying. You’ll get what you’re after and be very happy to have left.

If someone doesn’t see your worth, someone else will and it’s their loss.

Showed slight interest and am now drowning in recruiters. 1 interview and had a formal offer in 1 week. Worked the acceptance for slight delay to take max vacation before resigning.
The money is better, other benefits aren't much worse.

Economy is changing rapidly at this point. I am hearing rumors of layoffs in defense as the military rethinks types of weapons.
