Didn't you see in the announcement? The timing of the $1.2 in 22 payout requires Board approval.

Given there is likely going to be significant attrition after the 1.2 in 22 Payout, layoffs are unlikely…at least for professional and technical staff.
I am so glad I left this toxic company and the toxic management!
Tuesday layoffs will concentrate on Finance, HR, and Downstream. These three groups have been spared up to this point and are bloated.
There were about 6-8 geos cut last week
Ignore them. Hah. I have no trust in anyone at upper management. Ignore them. Who knows what they will pull in order to save their own hides.
Ignore them. Hey guys look that way while we punt you to the curb. Get lost.
There are no cuts. It’s all a bunch of trolls. There’s no reason to cut anyone at this point in time. Maybe if they had some more divestments then maybe. Ignore them is the best policy. I spend my time thinking on better things like how our mgmt loses $2 billion in hedges and stay employed. I find it very motivating to keep in mind that they pretty much wiped out our entire savings through this whole Husky / Cenovus merger.
I think the April 12 talk is bu-----t. Why would there be for any layoffs right now?
Or if they'll start any time soon?
