Do you think we'll have layoffs soon? What's your estimate of the current situation?

The current situation for the company pretty much dictates that since the work is not there to sustain a tech or techs, then a headcount reduction is warranted. It's a pretty simple concept and sound business sense. In areas of the country where the volume of work has declined, then adjustments need to be made based on the metrics.

not many old 4E's left. Many have been replaced by N4E's.

The 4E can do things other switches can't.
