Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

If someone or a group actually start a petition for the employees to unionize I would totally sign it. In a huddle we had a few weeks ago we discussed burn out and how to deal with it. The solution, think of the reasons you need to work and be happy you are getting a paycheck. That is the amount of care this company has for its employees. So yes if joining a union gives me better pay, benefits, and less to no mandatory OT sign me up and I will happily pay the union dues.

Listen you're being treated like a blue collar worker so why not unionize. Its coming. SF legacy will be ruining insurance workforce forcing unions...laughable ignorance. It is against federal laws for any company to stop, harass, threaten employees against discussing or forming unions. Report your TM to HR immediately should this hapoens to you. HR must take action...

Be careful what you question. Bringing problems to your manager is a good way to be put on the hit list.

It’s the same rhetoric they use against people unionizing.
If we were to have a union we wouldn’t be put up against our peers for merit increases. Everybody would get a sizable yearly increase. We would also get signing bonuses every time we sign a contract. All that changes is the term used for the benefit and the fact they wouldn’t be able to abuse us.
