“Abuse” in some areas

This is what I have seen in HBT and Connected.
You have a VP that start screaming or using words about performance that sim at making you feel: mo--nic, less than human and so forth. The stated reason is to increase performance. Another VP abusive way is the silent treatment. Never say anything, look at you like you don’t exists. But talks a lot to his/her boss as an “advisor” wanting to “help” … basicaly backstabbing. Just wants to help ;)
That usualy people that have very poor management skills and rely on the caste. Honeywell is trying to remove the obvious openly nasty people but now they have staffed with people that are sneaky and malicious. Never contributing but acting as the “ informant” for the boss (because they can’t contribute anything but their own twisted perceptions…
Anyone has seen abuse?

Take a shot everytime someone mentions "sinking ship".
Take a shot everytime someone inserts COVID into a nonrelated conversation.
Take a...oh now I'd wasted and forgot what I was doing...

HA HA HA!
Don't let as much as one VP or anyone else for that matter make you picture that schoolyard bully that pushed you around or beat you down. You are a grown person, not the same ugly nerd back in school, now you are a highly trained professional!!
So act like one!
There is no way we can achieve and meet the goals set forth for us. That comes from management levels higher than probably everyone on this post. Maybe if you are in marketing or sales, then you may want to consider stepping up your game a little, but for typical department managers handling hardware, we all know without proper funding to make all of the required changes in our respective products we can never drive growth.
What are we going to do? call the differing aircraft manufacturers/building controls/chemical/software/etc. people and ask them to seriously consider changing out the products they now have in place to another one of our tired offerings?

What new and improved systems, chemical, and industrial controls do we have in place that would make someone want to seek us out?

Most NPI failing just get rephrased differently to allow for victory. We have now “fellows” trying to create new products and off course failing but not before blaming other teams. It’s like a free for all in trying to jockey for positions and spin. We keep the same loosers trying to do new and expect different results…

HBT is indeed a sinking ship. A portfolio with just legacy solutions with the highest pricing in the market. All connected npi’s failed so far. Leadership tries to focus on big themes, but no products to support, even no integration between the various disciplines. These are hard requirements.

To the Indian doing -13 you realize this is childish and a big tantrum rigth?
I wonder if you’re one of those VPs

Come on. All those VPs can only do this because the directors are helping make this a sinking ship. Connected is the worst. HBT a close second . Aero gets 3rd place.

In connected we are stressed out by those incompetent “forge” directors. Stress and pu-e…almost every day now. We are due for changes -again, with mo--ns promoted?

The only things they keep doing in HBT are musical chairs . No change to make things better. They just rotate internally. Sometimes you see a fellow coming to “help” but they just come to take credit or add more spinning

HBT leadership set the tone for the level of disrespect. And new leaders that came in immediately became the same way - or perhaps that’s the profile the previous leader (I have already forgotten his name) wanted. He set the tone and change in direction. I have been gone for a year but it seems like a lifetime ago but I still find it interesting to read these posts - nothing has changed. Glad I’m not there.

Speaking of "abuse", did you read where poison control centers across the U.S. are reporting a lot of cases of poisoning from the COVID rapid tests?

These are the same tests that Honeyhell is now forcing employees to use for HON's self-imposed COVID testing mandate.

@1lvv+1fvVsvWq Wow that stinks how your treated for being in your sixties. Im upper 50s. Yes I was put on PIP towards end of last year even though all my goals were exceeded( to me goals are not cool anyways?) but do to a guy that been running to HR on I say 10 people already for listening in on peoples conversation and goes cry Wolf to them instead of going to their bosses first its not like we are picking on this guy. What stinks he has told others he pulls the card and doesn't care he does. Stinks for us as we have families to we need support and such. Now with 0% raise really stinks with cost of living going up and the raise that was pulled away back in 2020 so bit further behind now. But guess this life now and we need deal with best we can and try to survive just wish this guy had more feelings for others instead of poor me Im well dont want say it. Peace out

@1ksb Yeah, I got "zeroed out" for the third time in 4 years.
The first one of those years I was put on a PIP.
This year I met expectations in all goals except one that I exceeded expectation.
5 block. Develop in place. Ha, I'm pretty much fully developed.
Hmmm, I wonder if it's due to the fact that I'm in my mid sixties?
Or maybe because I have been at 120% of my grade for around 5 years.
A promotion is out of the question. I have refused it 2 times.
I want the 26 week package. The only abuse is that sadly they won't RIF me.

Screaming at staff and threatening to fire them has been going on for years at Aero. It's never been appropriately addressed, which is not surprising since it's often the "leaders" who have done (and still do) it. Unprofessional and non-motivating.

I worked for a VP who prided himself on getting HR investigations. Literally said in staff meetings "I don't care about HR I can do whatever I want" My $$$ performance is all ALT cares about.

Honeywell grooms these clowns to be this way.

Worked for a VP at HON who would yell and scream on 12 hour global calls. Typical behavior would be to ask the same question over and over and interupt the person before they could get 2 words out of thier mouth.

Root issue was the VP was friends with his "bosses' boss." He would do stupid stuff like speak to his "bosses' boss" in the same room in a non english language and follow around like a puppy as if to undermine his boss.

Positioned the business is a complete "turn-around" required and the exsisting staff and leaders were incompetent. He lost the entire group's trust and eventually the LOB lost $10 of millions of revenue in 2 years. The yelling and screaming was just to force out staff with uncivil behavior and any adult could see this. It's the entitled executive behavior at HON as a norm.

Decisions are not required of the wage slaves.
Leave thinking to the VP.
Thought that was already established noob. Get back work.

LOL we take classes in how to set "big hairy unreachable goals" and how to use "leadership" to drive people out of their comfort zone. Anyone who is comfortable is underutilized and needs to be disrupted.

Sounds all so familiar in AERO. Heck, ots expected of the AERO VP and below for people managers. No doubt there are some genuine people managers that are true to the job but those are scarce. Overall, its just Honeywell where its a breeding ground for ceremonial leaders that takes credit for other peoples work with the excuse of providing is the exposure needed.
