I enjoy working here. I do see lots of old grumpy workers that is way past their prime.

My department stays super busy and we're backfilling retirements in addition to adding new positions. We also directly make a profit for the company so there's that, and we're not mobility related.

I’m retirement eligible and have no plans on retiring when T pays me to work very little and relax while on the payroll. It’s a really cushy arrangement! If supply chains are affecting the workloads due to scarcity of equipment, then it looks like it might stay this way for a while! T can easily sustain the payroll for a long period of time without providing work and I believe they’ll keep the techs on the payroll without reducing head count. It will eventually start to get busy, but it’s anybody’s guess as to when?

If you came here for the interesting work, great culture, good benefits or a life happiness- you come to the wrong place. This is a paycheck, get some experience and leave company.
For older workers it’s a hold on tight until you can get your lump sum pension.
