ATS Forward, same song and dance, hiring freeze in Jeremy Legg org

So Jeremy was sleazy. In his two day town-hall he talked about a $265M budget shortfall on one budget slide. Part of shortfall will be paid for by not allowing back fills for all those folks that retired last year(because of pre-medicare loss of subsidy). So if those folks left in December (which most did), he is not letting us back fill them this year.

He was asked specific question about this during Q&A, and he danced all around it by saying if you made an offer last year he allows those people who accepted offer to move forward with it(assuming their start date is in Jan). But if you opened req last year and did not make offer, or opened req this year for all those folks that retired in December, you are out of luck.

He then talked about how he wants to reduce contractors yet... How can we do that if they don't let us hire for even back fills. Lots of nonsense. I lost a lot of respect for him. Just be honest and say we have a hiring freeze.

But hey, we hire very highly paid product specialists from Amazon no problem. I am sure they can come up with the next echo and make AT&T billions of $. Shades of John Donovans past. Right???

If you believe a single word out of any of their mouths m, you are a complete fool! They would steal pennies off a dead man’s eye lids if they needed to! The most horrific leadership I’ve ever seen in all my years!

This just bad labor planning from the top. All managers are motivated to keep as many headcount as possible, zero incentive to move people to where the work is. So what if people aren’t busy, no one cares, that is how the game is played.

He should publish how many hours were wasted developing an app that he wanted people to download to their phone just for this meeting complete with games to play during the meeting. Maybe he's trying to appeal to the people addicted to their phones but things like this never work out. You annoy half the population with id--tic things that waste time and money while talking about how to save time and money.

move faster means they won't put up a replay in any timely fashion. My group had open requisitions and on 12/31 they "expired" and were not renewed in 2022. One was for a person who was forced out to keep medical and left late December. From my perspective, they are not replacing people this year and no matter how many times Legg says to work smarter, every year it becomes work longer.
Whoever that lady was, she was extremely annoying with her sweatshirts. If she is so attached to her college, she should go back there where she can relive her youth cause that's apparently what she was trying to do.

Get to work and off this board. The time saved will help you get more work done.

Did you forget their Golden Rule?

If their lips are moving, they are lying.

If their lips are not moving, they are thinking up their next lie.

I’m sure many of you have gone though many M&A’s and now diversifications. Company will lock down on the books, reduce cost like mad to rebake the books to make the numbers look good. Bonus numbers are great, added more mobility lines than the previous 10 years, can we repeat for this year?

If ATS cuts its work force by 50%, nothing will happen. Some people just don’t get it, without the voluntary retirement last year, you would have been laid off. Why would the company backfill those positions? Ge-z…

Wow, I was on same call and he did not say that. I thought he was very honest, said we will honor offers in progress, said IF we need to hire we are going to hire, but was honest and said we have to determine how to close budget gap that he clearly identified in the opening session. I felt for first time in a long time we saw a leader be very open and honest, maybe you can go rewatch and listen closer!
