If you're applying for a job at AT&T check the Colorado job listings to see if it's posted there too, they're required to give the actual salary range by law in Colorado, they try to hide it in the job description, but it's there. I haven't seen salaries posted in other states' openings.
You also have to consider that salary ranges are different for different areas of the country, but the Colorado ranges should be in the middle, not as high as CA and not as low as somewhere like Alabama.

Publish salary range checks a checkbox, but is it any good? When the range has 100k difference between high and low, it is basically useless. It might as well be between $0 and $1 million. Context matters, pay close attention.
@1ajx - I'm pretty sure internal job postings have shown a range for a while now. (So this information is really only useful for external applicants.)
