So, will we be seeing one and 2% raises across the board again this year or is the company actually going to give a decent raise this time around? Has anyone heard any numbers leaked yet?

Recalibration shouldn’t be occurring during merit increase time. For those impacted positively mid last year, it was over and above merit increase that occurred in March. Granted, the net result is likely the same in the end if you wind up out of band, but feels like performance doesn’t make a difference in pay (still). It’s what the market thinks your skills are worth. We all have skills lower or higher than the market middle but it’s like that doesn’t even matter. Bringing everyone up to the low band who happens to be below it is like saying their skills are identical and that is rarely true. The lower paid high performers are the ones who lose time and time again.
“The word is that pay scales are changing again, “
The word? Assuming you are referring to management - HRhad a webcast last week stating just like every year, some recalibration will happen
“ but if the change is positive enough that it is equal or greater to what your merit would be, you won't get merit.
If the TSR beginning salary is increased to the point it drops you from the range you get an automatic increase to bring you in the range. If that is equal to or more than your merit why is that not good enough? In many cases the amount will likely exceed any merit. Mid 2021 that happen to many people, many reports of people get many thousands of dollars, well above what any raise was.
Some will benefit more than others, that is the way it is.
The word is that pay scales are changing again, but if the change is positive enough that it is equal or greater to what your merit would be, you won't get merit. This seems outrageous. If you earned merit, you should get that on top of any raise bc of the change in salary pay bands. You earned your dang merit! The Death Star is so disgusting.
3-5% is not good. It’s sad that poor raises year after year have led us to believe 3-5% is “good”.
@1pmf is giving the straight scoop. They are clearly in the comp discussions.
1% on mine and the wife's pension.
- 7% on both out SS.
We save a lot of $$$ by being retired.
Zero debt.
67 years of service between us.
All non management.
Going to by some more acreage.
Today, boss said that it will be better than last year, although no raise % range given yet.
I am assuming it will be 3-5 % considering some raise is baked in higher bonus payout.
Next step for the company will be to evenly spread the workload.
Stankey will get at least a 20% raise after undoing the merger fiascos he was instrumental in creating!! The rest of the C-suite will get double digit raises!!!!
The overall goal is to get folks to midpoint of their TSR. Those higher in TSR will get less, those lower in TSR get more. Individuals that are low might receive 7-10% + diversity increases.
Is it still HR policy that everyone should make at least the bottom 20th percentile of the target Salary range?
Raise ? You ain’t getting no raise. You’re getting COLA and about half of what it should be. Back in the day , a raise was separate from cost of living increases. Not no more. Oh how the corporate overlords have played you all for fools over the years.
Oh Deere Lowered.
The guys with the 'if it isn't covering inflation it's a CUT' stance are spooling up again.
Guess what Ace... 90% of the country is in the same boat, not getting raises to match inflation> Get over yourself.
Mobility was pre loaded 4%. Manager can move some % around. Great merit this year , plus 142% bonus.
@cey+1fiJEfXC management has no contract book
OP here - not asking about union raises, question is for management raises.
Doesn't matter. I can work an hour or two of OT per day and make it up. Be on double time by Wednesday and pad the savings. With little work, but they ask.
and they are in charge. hahahahahaha
You will get the modest annual raise that your union agreed to and you will like it.
What? Did you really think the union worked for you? They work for AT&T and the "needs of the business".
Anything less than 7.5% is a paycut. Per the latest CPI numbers
Look in the contract book. ;)
I heard they are fairly good this year,3-5%.
