Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Question about another company! Yes, crazy!

First, I am so sorry to post this question here. However, it is clear that the HW forum is one of the most active forums on this website. I was wondering if anyone here has an experience with EPRI? Again, so sorry to post the question here, but there is no webpage for EPRI and I thought someone here can help.

How does the relocation package look like at EPRI for an engineering manager role?

Please excuse my stupidity for posting it here, am just hopping someone here is has come from, or move to, EPRI (The Electric Power Research Institute).

EPRI is a great company to work for. I heard nothing but great things about them. I assume they are stable.

Thank you so much @1rfx+1fgnYqO3 and @2riy+1fgnYqO3

It looks to me that somebody is enjoying the game of down voting your responses. I actually found your answers to be very helpful, so never mind those votes.

As a follow up question to both you, can you share any other detail you know about EPRI? I understand if you don't have much information about their relo package, but what do you think about EPRI and what else do you know? I am very keen to hear from those who know it from outside/inside before I make the transition. Thank you so much. A healthy type of environment as well as job stability/security are the most important factors.

A research institute or academic research lab are usually good places to work. Most are lower pressure and less stress than for profit corporations.

EPRI has opportunities and dead ends like any other company. They run a lot off grants as I understand. Friends have played nice and done well there. Others couldn't take the micro managing and left. Good luck.

There is a good number of engineers that I know who had left HW to join EPRI. I also know a colleague who joined us at HW coming from EPRI.

I hope you get some answers to you question. What I can tell you is that EPRI is a non-profit, so I would imagine their relo package should be competitive, but I don't know the specific details (i.e.: home-sale or realtor fees reimbursement, home purchase fees assistant, etc etc..)
