Recently learned about the WarnerMedia Discovery spinoff. Would it be foolish to move forward in the interview process considering layoffs are possible?

Best bet is leave the whole cesspool behind. So many better managed companies out there that layoff isn’t even in their vocabulary.

I would be cautious about joining any company/firm going through a merger or breakup. Once the dust settles, reorgs and cutbacks almost always come within 6 months to a year.
Not much info form OP. It's like any job, the company could be awesome while your job could be the worst of all time. I wouldn't write off WM because of Stankey and his village of id--ts.

Ignore the people on here who do childish name calling. I really hope a lot of them don't have family and kids because I fear for their well-being, unless this is the one place they get to play high school social media because they didn't get it when they were younger.

If you can delay your start till after the deal closes, and TW is rid of the Stink and Toxic-T's horrific influences, you should be fine.
No doubt, there will be cleansing after the spinoff of all the mismangement Stink put in charge of TW to ruin it.
