Employees have always been the backbone of this company but it feels like the leadership has conveniently decided to ignore that. They've created such an awful atmosphere that the most talented people who've been here for a decade or more are leaving. Why would they stay and suffer through understaffing, refusal to accept any new ideas, and very little opportunity to progress? Especially when there are numerous companies that will be happy to have them and treat them much better.

A lot of mid-level management employees are treated very well at T. High pay for minimal technical skills and expectations in so many cases.
Our second line doesn't know a capacitor bank from a fuse panel. He does have the gift of gab though. I just smile, nod and keep cashing checks.
😭 wah!!!!
I wish they'd offer a new voluntary offer and the unhappy ones can leave to "greener pastures". I will!!!!!!!! I want the 6 months salary
You keep trying.
Collaborate more.
Your "feels" mean nothing to them.
They know who you are now, and you are now targeted.
Fly low, say nothing.
Smile and wave.
And be smarter as to post.
Santone is a blood su---r who's benefited from the Media industry for decades! She's mediocre at best in her position, but wis the the "YES" girl Stank & Co. needs to justify their ridiculousness! Santone sends her kids to one of the most prestigious schools in Dallas tuition 37K per child per year, lives in a $3MIL house, but is out to help the common man at ATT??? Ummm, NO!
She's a total fraud just like all the other leadership!
are ppl not changing roles/learning and looking for advancement with the new experience? ever since covid i went from professional to principal, went across 3 different business units. its been awesome.
RESPONDING TO: There are also a lot of employees (I would say the majority) who have become totally complacent and have outdated skills with no benefit to the company. T is right in taking steps to trim some of this fat.
I agree with you if this was 20 years ago but you still have to do your job and meet the metrics that are imposed on us workers. So what's to trim here? More muscle?!!

The C-suite is being treated very well! The Board of Directors are making $400k a year to rubber stamp management decisions.
Loving life after AT&T
I spent 21 years there.
My new role is excellent. I am empowered, we work hard, but we also see the value and feel valued.
If you’ve not kept pace with the ever changing business, you have close to ten years of employment and you’re not getting promotion/raises you desire—it is time to seek employment elsewhere. The world, the company and how we work has forever changed. If you’re not satisfied here, don’t waste your energies complaining; go find something or a business that you can grow with as well as get promotions and compensation. Good luck, honestly.
You’re under the false perception that you matter as an employee to your employer.
Not according to Santone. T benefits are way out of line with industry standards. Much too generous, more benny cuts coming.
At the same time, employees that wouln't mind leaving are not the ones impacted by downsizing. They're hanging on for various reasons, but would gladly accept a severance package if one was offered. T is just too myopic and can't see the forest through the trees!
