Why would I expect a discount? Well, they did tell us we would be still be getting a discount on the service, but not as much. Apparently not as much means zero percent.
DirectTV and AT&T are scam companies. I badmouth them daily to family, friends and customers - or should I say - I tell people the truth daily.

DTV is no longer part of T. Why would you expect a continued employee discount?
Got my first bill and it was $188.00. They charged my 15 for HBO Max, 5 bucks each for something called Dog TV and Epix, charged 119 for the channels with no employee discount, then prorated extra charges from the first part of the month. Apparently there is absolutely no employee discount now. It’s hard to believe the company would lie to us yet again.
If you canceled DirecTV, they are offering a much better discount as a " Win-Back!" Apparently it was a shell shock to see how many canceled, and the higher ups are asking questions! I am literally getting more channels and paying half of the first offered discount 25%. In addition you'll get all the movie package channels for 3 months and a gift card! Connected back up!
Yeah they called me offering free 30 days and a complementary amazon firestick.
No thanks.
I can get a free firestick with Sling and $35 streaming with Sling Blue.
I believe that they realize that they shot themselves in the foot and are now limping along looking for su---r customers.
