There’s a lawsuit settlement/labor agreement that says no layoffs until 2023(can’t remember it’s the 1st of 2023 or the end of 2023)

Tell the impacted real T employees that BFS is hiring in in-region and out of region areas of the country, I have seen many job reqs on the T website for multiple job titles in the the technical arena. T is still hiring, so I wouldn't be so pessimistic at this point and worry about layoffs. It's really difficult to predict their next move since nobody has been able to predict it in the past. Otherwise, it'll be Putin's fault no matter what!

If this is true, the terms will get hit first. The rest will go by seniority no matter what department the bodies came from unless a deal is made to protect the construction techs already in place.

Responding to: wow 19 in one garage? that's crazy, Cermak? splicers only?

Heard a week ago regarding surplus. Rumors flying. Is it true? 19 for Roscoe. Wait and see til next week. I heard construction but company does what company does. They'll have to get rid of terms first no matter what. But we just got a few guys 18 months ago from repair. Gotta wonder what happened to 3 to 5 year build???? This company is so screwed up.

I suspect that this economy's inflation and gas prices are going to have a direct affect on hiring and build-outs. I filled my tank and it cost $62.00 when it used to only cost no more than $38-40.00 The cost of doing business for T just went up 15-20% in its operating expenses. If they do decide to reduce head count, they can always blame it on Putin!

This company can't make up it's mind. One minute we have a 3 to 5 year fiber build. Now they want to send construction guys back to repair. Supposedly we're 19 techs over head count?!!! I can't wait to retire 2.75 years from now. Can't wait

It’s called English. I don’t suppose you’ve ever heard of it.
