I know at least 10 people who seriously intend to resign after getting a bonus. Are people exaggerating or will there really be an exodus after the bonus?

LOL. Corporate HQ is worried about the continual exodus of talent and the inability to retain smart people. Aero is getting lacerated for its exodus in several functions, most notably finance. Never seen such tone deaf "leaders" in all my life. Let the run for the doors continue!
I know if 5 who have resigned after MIP so far. Every year there are a few, this year seems a lot worse. Attrition is through the roof already, smart people would wait for MIP and then resign. Would be stupid to give up earned money.
We have lost half of our team in the last 4 months - every single person quit their position.
Half left the company. The other half went to other roles and having spoken to them, the other parts of the company they went is a complete disorganized mess.
So the post of people leaving etc is probably real. If they leave is another story. But people are leaving in droves. And they are hiring so many new people productivity has to decline.
Honeywell lost 23% of personnel in North America per the annual report and 15% worldwide. I'm watching colleague after colleague retire or leave for other companies after 10+ years. And the hiring being done is kids out of college and contractors. That is not a formula for success.
All talent in HBT Europe is leaving. Just a matter of fact. Attrition has never been so high.
How does that square with all the Honeywell employees that continuously get hired with my current employer?
Are you going to call me a liar or will there be a logical response?
Everything you hear on this website is fake. Nobody is resigning. People come here to claim that they are resigning, hopping that this will make others resign, assuming that will reduce the chance they will get laid off. More resignations, less lay-offs. Nasty game. They are all sticking here scared to be laid off and will not resign no matter what. Don't believe them and don't believe 90% of the stories here.
People just talk a lot. I know several people said they were quitting, I'm the only one that did. People will do anything to be comfortable.
I'm sure there are a few people who currently have job offers on the table, timed perfectly to secure their bonus. That was my case with the 401-k match - received an offer in November but started with my new company in late December.
No exodus. Need more india management. Want a better career, agree to go to India to train more people .
I see hard times ahead.. the cost of the pandemic handouts is going to be high.
All these people retiring and taking "stock" in life are reducing consumption dramatically. Combine this with high interest rates and double digit inflation and you get japan during the 1990s..except now it is world wide. Hard to imagine these real estate prices being supported by 20 percent fewer workers.
You should be worrying more about who will be buying airplanes and skyscrapers than who is quitting on friday. With fewer customers honeywell is going to continue to thrash trying to find a profitable business... that means site consolidations and eventually layoffs. Soon ? No. End of year is my guess. Honeywell leaders love a xmas turkey surprise.
Time to learn spanish and head for a growth country that isnt bound by unaffordable social net programs and out of the fallout pattern.
We have 3 already leaving & lots looking. No one is going to just leave without another job lined up.
Just as many will quit after their bonus this year as last year, and the year before that, and the year before that.....
Probably wishful thinking…
Depends on the location. Attrition is lower in the southern part of US and higher in Asia and Europe.
That probably changes dramatically as we enter the long world wide recession that is required to get inflation under control. It is going to hit hard as people stop buying because of price shock.
Joke… nobody is quitting.
1 offer and 2 more interviews, just waiting on deposit.
