I'm expecting a shift in T practices when it comes to usage of their fleet vehicles. Any speculation regarding this matter since operation expenses are moving upward?

Easy. They'll use Big Data to find the most efficient routes, place those electronic ad displays on every company car, and use the power of &.
The power of & will be driving & answering customer phone call questions, splicing & selling mobile device accessories, working call center & texting ads to customers.
From the Investor Day presentation of Rasesh Patel: The company expects to reduce G&A support cost cumulatively by around $1 billion between 2022 and 2023.
LAYOFFS ARE COMING!!
Real men only idle at stop lights.
Reduce the allowed idle time per day and increase the punishment to 5 days without pay for each violation.
Says the office guy. Go take your quiche out of the breakroom fridge.
No way the company should ay for the electricity or the water for your desk plants.
But it's OK, some "men" aren't outside folks.
TY for self identifying.

double up. one to push one to steer
Hard to take them seriously when I spend at least 4 hours a day driving.
Call outs for jobs 4 hours away....one way. "Sure!!! I'll go."
No jobs in my town, but we need a job 100 miles away picked up.
"OK"
I take the 6MPG V10 bucket on all back roads and go where ever they send me.
$40+ an hour to drive is golden.
Easy make 50-60 grand a year driving.
Windshield time is best time.
Instead of a one week ETR, it will become a 3 week ETR.
It’s OK to drive 100+ miles between dispatches (literally) but by god you had best not let that truck idle long enough to defrost the windshield. The dispatch strategy is the biggest waster of fuel we have, not idling trucks a few minutes here and there. Whenever we have brought this up to anyone higher than our first level we are told “it’s all in a days work” or “you don’t buy the gas don’t worry about it”. All that environmental stuff the company says is just talk.
That's funny, dude...lol!
They could switch to using some of the hot air from the annoying and disgruntled people on this board.
That’s not my problem, I’ll continue to idle comfort and health as before. Large parts of the fleet are already cng with future commitments to go electric on some of it.
they will do what they always do pass the costs onto the customer.
Don't care.
41 years in.
When I'm cold, I'll idle my truck to warm up.
In summer, I'll idle it and leave the A/C on.
When my managers move their desks out in to the parking lot and freeze, bake, I'll comply.
They'll do nothing to me as it's a "safety" issue.
They'll try....but fail again.
And they wonder why people hate them.
Layoffs.
It won’t hit fleet for a while as corporations by fuel on the futures market.
