Is PE license valued?

I was thinking of getting a PE license. Is this valued across divisions?

A PE ticket requires faithful adherence to the NSPE Code of Ethics. If you have a PE license, you may find more ethical challenges than you'd like inside HON.

To answer the OP's question - no.

If a certification requires external training be aware that your training and personal development, if it’s even allowed to be budgeted for, will be the first thing cut each year. Fortunately it’s valued where I now work and supported by the company

PE = Professional Engineer. If it's a breeze for you to pass the test to get it, then get it. If you have to ki-l yourself to get it then don't bother because anyone with a AK talent can beat your PE.

Not needed in aero.
If you want to work for the military or in civil engineering it may be required.

Used to be respected in areo.
In fact there was a time that the department would pay your annual fee.
Not any more.

Unfortunately, the only reason to get a PE or advanced degree is to move to another company that actually values credentials. Don't bother with the tuition reimbursement unless you plans to stay for a few more years.

Nope. Zip zero.
Same goes for any other certification, and advanced degree for that matter.
They want workers not experts.
