HON must be desperate. Was just contacted by a recruiter, they were offering a $10k signing bonus. You know they are struggling if they are offering a signing bonus like that.

Honeywell has injured themselves with this mandate. Reminds me of a scene from Blazing Saddles, with DA as the new Sheriff pointing a g-n at his own head. "Do what he say, Do what he say!"
Wow! You’re getting $10,000. Company song. You must’ve wished upon a star.
When a star is born
They possess a gift or two
One of them is this
They have the power to make a wish come true
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true
Lol. They need to try harder. That signing bonus is so 2000!
I got a $25,000 signing bonus offer.
I think they are using funds from the former SSP. HW owed me A LOT from that old plan. Tied up in red tape and nobody knows why. They are trying to steal my $$$$.
This post is perfect timing. I referred 2 external people as tied my referral status. Both were hired. I referred both. HON declined my referral bonus for both. No explanation. Don't fall for the referral bonus plan.
Too low to bother with.
50 to 100k plus relocation.
No more than a two year commitment.
Cash now not stock and not some half now half later tease.
Aaaand the first thing you do is come here to troll land. 😁
when I joined, they gave me 50K sign on. Two other employers were offering about the same
I got a $2K referral bounty for recommending a friend for an hourly tech position.
He got a $2K signing bonus as well.
This was 5 years ago.
Signing bonus or referrals are nothing new.
For a band 4 or above position a $10K signing bonus is low.
if you refer someone in the atlanta office it's 5k. It used to be 20k when they first opened it up.
Yeah we were told today if we can refer someone and goes through we would get $1500 for the referral. So yeah they sure are disperate.

@tpm: See the link. It shows that even at the hourly pay position levels Honeywell is offering $2.5k-$5k signing bonuses to new hires fo nearly all positions. So yes, Honeywell signing bonuses have become common.
It's not common for Honeywell.
Do a browser search on companies that offer signing bonuses and you'll find that it's very common. My sister is a nurse practitioner in the healthcare field and recently moved to a new job with a $30k signing bonus and a $15k bump in pay.
Signing bonuses may seem attractive at first glance but they typically have a contract required that you remain employed at the company for a designated time period. A $10k signing bonus really isn't that much these days for the many jobs available at Honeywell that exceed $100k/yr.
Some areas that understand value may offer this. But most don’t care…. Because we can always staff from India with HB1
