Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Screwed on PDS this year

Have been better than expected for the last 5 years and suddenly "expected" with so many opportunity areas. And I actually did more this year with our department reorganization than any other year. Taking on so many more things with all the shortage of adjusters and SIU taking a dump. Always called on to "help" with rough claims situations only to basically be demeaned by my leader to the point where I am not doing enough. So ridiculous. All by design I guess so they can smile and give me my 2% raise. Move claims to Pune ASAP and just be done with it! All while dipsh^^ Tom and Glenn make millions more providing absolutely zero worth to this company and being completely inept and ineffective as senior leaders.

We were promised an inflation bump by someone who reports to Tom Wilson directly. Not holding my breath.

PDS ratings are done in December.. Money budget in February which is why you normally get them in late Feb/March.
You can't impact ratings this late in the game no matter how you try.
If you really want impact your pds, send your CSL a list of all your accomplishments, etc under each category in late October. Makes their life easier to advocate for you too.

I wouldn’t expect more than 3%, even if you’re BTE. The Q4 earnings call sums it up - expense reduction, which will translate to investing in offshore and automation, not human cap.

No reason to stay at this company. They clearly don't care. Brush off those resumes, folks!

I got tired of being hired in at $15 an hour in 2017, only to be making $17 4 years later and consistently getting expected each year.

I left. I make much more at progressive.

Got expected on my 2021 PDS today. After the first two parts were expected it was "blah blah, blah, blah" as all I heard the rest of the meeting. But I really don't care and doubt I deserved BTE. I have been screwed the last few years so the a--hats get expected level work. No more than 8 hours a day, meetings when I feel like it, work from home brings about all the breaks I want. They get what they put in in regards to compensation. Only fools work the 60+ hours for nothing and put more than minimal effort into this dump.

Got my pds today. After all the people let go, I get a meets for doing triple the work and taking on problem files.
I listened stunned silence and was told maybe 3% increase. If I push a little more might be exceeds next year. What a joke.
Was told by coworker they told manager they were cutting back to bare minimum if only getting a meets. They were flat out told to be first to lay off. SMH can't win.

Had my pds today. Got expected and leader said likely 4% merit but not officially communicated until late in February.

Bend over friends. Y’all getting screwed. Too bad you don’t have a Union to support you. You get what you get cuz of that. Allstate gets it cheap and dirty in India and they like it that way.

I have had PDS, but was told will not know % or amount until late Feb/early March so surprised you already know percentage.

Your leader has limited resources and for whatever reason he/she had to or decided to give another team member the extra amount you usually get. Therefore your PDS was downgraded to a lower level so he/she can justify the amount he/she gives you.

@1mca+1f1ToGPj - High expected would mean, compared to your peers, you are on the low end of the curve. You would most likely be RIF'd when they do another round of reductions/shift to Pune. BUT, you would most likely get a bit more money in the percenatge of the budget we have to work with.

Over the years my managers have told me that it's not the PDS or ratings that take until Feb, it's the monetary piece that takes so long. They claim they are waiting to see their raise allowance budget, so they can determine who is getting what percent raise.

Some of you may not find out your rating until February or March, but ratings are out in before the end of December every single year. Mine were due mid November for my team for 2021. Some departments or managers may be more transparent and let employees know of their rating sooner.

Had my PDS meeting yesterday. I was "high expected" whatever that is. I guess that is their way to f### me out of better than expected and thus minimal increase in pay.

Claims CSL’s already having our meetings, raises go into effect later . So YES, they are covering PDS/them now.
Same old cheap AF 0-3% raises.
Some we hear got up to 5% who suck up and drink the blue-koolaid branding ..we are one allstate good hands garbage.

Not even covering cost of living. I basically make minimum wage with all the extra hours I put In for Jack-sh**
Work hard and you get more work thrown at you, and the same shi**y raises

This is deliberate. They want our jobs to go to Pune.

How did you get it so early? Mine is usually in April and the “raise” doesn’t take effect until May. Same with “kick off” meetings in the second quarter and “updated yearly metrics” in JUNE.

He is not lying. I got my past in December before my manager went on vacation........ My advice for the future would be to go into meetings with examples written down of all the leadership principles
