COVID-19 Testing Programs for Certain Unvaccinated Feds and Contractors By Feb. 15

If a participant in the testing program refuses to submit to a COVID-19 test, the agency may pursue disciplinary action and bar the employee from the workplace.

“If the agency bars the employee from the workplace, and the nature of the employee’s work does not allow for it to be performed outside the workplace, the employee must be placed on paid administrative leave until the question of disciplinary action is resolved,” the administration said. “In pursuing an adverse action, the agency must also follow normal processes to provide the required notice to the employee.”

"If a participant in the testing program refuses to submit..."

That phrase pretty much sums up the real point of the exercise. Submission.

Another year or two of this cr@p and NK is going to start looking good as a vacation spot.

We'll move on when Honeywell's team of so-called doctors realized the pandemic is over and drops this silliness. Everyone who wanted the jab has it now and they are fully protected because it works amazingly well. Those who haven't and don't have naturally acquired immunity will get the equivalent of a cold and might use a sick day or two. The sooner everyone realizes this the sooner we can focus on the next layoff announcement.

Note that there are a couple of places offering drive through Covid testing almost around the clock and for free if you need the testing done.

Moved the testing requirement to March 3rd now. Not really understanding the logic of even having a testing requirement at all at this point.

Has Honeywell changed their communications about this? Last time I checked the testing was on employees time and also paid by employees, Also if you did not test by their deadline you are put on unpaid leave.

Sounds like if you could do 100% of your job remotely, you could is you just refuse the test.

"Agencies are required to pay for the cost of testing employees in the screening program, either by paying directly for testing or by reimbursing employees, and the time spent getting tested should be treated as duty time—not administrative leave—for payroll purposes."
