Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Overwhelmed

Anyone else overwhelmed, not just for the holidays, but everyday . I am a merch lead, and between being short staffed and having to do resets and audits, I am, as well as the other leads, about ready to drop . We are getting pulled in so many directions, and home office keeps adding extra audits every month and we can barely keep up with the mandatory audits. We have inventory in February and our GM wants even more audits done, on top of making sure everyone is in cleaning mode, changing aisles and trying to prepare for inventory ! How are we supposed to get all this done, on top of ( just found out yesterday) that one of the afternoon leads is on a covid leave as well as 2 of the day merchandisers !

As my GM has said "You make the big bucks now...." when things get challenging. Something is wrong also when managers are yelling at each other accusing one another of stepping or pulling from their departments to assist. Is this the new culture of Sam's? Thankful I am no longer a Lead. The stress instilled is not needed. I have over 30 years under my belt. I truly believe Home office is slowly transforming Sam's Club to be more like Amazon. Cashierless clubs. All digital. Scan-n-go is the open door to making it a reality. There is no job worth the humiliation, degrading, discriminatory actions this company encourages the management team do to their associates.

team leads just got that pay bump. the company feels justified to get their moneys worth. they basically turned all team leads into hourly managers. I feel for you. Team leads used to be a descent position, now its just a stress fueled chaos dump of a position. Cr-p always rolls downhill.

I dropped down last month to merch lift driver. The new pay scale you only lose 5% if you step down to one of the 17 an hour positions. Almost the same pay for none of the stress....yes please.
