Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

People who are giving it their all amuse me

Why do you do that? I quit giving a damn years ago, which is when I stopped working my fingers to the bone. Nobody at Chevron cares how hard you work these days. It does nothing for your career. If you know how to nod your head in the affirmative to anything anyone above you says, you're golden. You can do your bare minimum but make sure you kiss the right behinds, and you're golden.

I won’t say I’m not giving a 100%, but after surviving multiple layoffs you certainly reevaluate what’s important in the context of Chevron. The time you give to this company you don’t get back, so when it now comes down to family vs. company because some a$&hat is trying to meet some stupid deadline to embellish their PMP, yep sorry.

OP is a sad shell of a human. You atmre delusional if you think people cant tell that you are half-assing it.

This says A LOT about the kind of person you are and the values you have. I feel sorry for your friends and family having you in their lives. Sad….

Welcome to the New Chevron. If you’re not already anointed, there’s no reason to work hard. Work for your resume, not Chevron.
