Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo IS a charity

The people who have been here the longest know the WF system. Nothing. Nothing can be done to fire them based on performance. Once they are here full-time, good luck. These are the most ungrateful leaches I've ever had to deal with in my life. The incredible depths I go through go help these miserable sc-m is sickening. The amount of their garbage I have to clean up is incredible.

Where is management focus? Fighting each other on d-mb BS like RTO! There's a effing pandemic! No more RTO until 2025. MAYBE. Read what scientist have said about going back to normal. There's no chance we are going back anywhere so stop wasting people's time unless you want to drown in lawsuits.

Instead, how about focus on things you can do something about. Give your managers the ability to people who don't even care enough to move their mouse to have a green active Skype status to throw them out on the effing street. Give them the ability to hire people quickly to replace. HR here is a vampire. Maybe start there?

I'm out of this place. I can not work with such lazy people anymore. You are getting a damn paycheck! They are paying you, to WORK! At least move your GD mouse for your six-figure job.

"OP needs to visit an opium den. Take five dude."

How opium dens haven't become a thing is beyond me. It'd have been swell to sleep through all the political/corporate bu-----t over the last five years or so.

Wells has a couple hundred thousand employees. The vocal minority is really vocal in anonymity on site like this... but they still won't leave because they know they can't get it better anywhere else.
Those who can? Yeah, they leave once they're ready... and they don't post anything about it on sites like this.

I send email, then immediately follow-up with skype message asking if you saw my email. Then i will send Teams message asking if you saw my IM and email, then i will call shortly after that. Last course is an EACO page.

Skype status doesn’t matter. You can manually set it to away. In fact, many departments are required to, to prevent people from directly messaging them - except for their direct teammates. Doesn’t matter what the status is, if you need them - you send an IM or email, or both. Just because it’s green doesn’t mean they will respond. Mine is green almost all day long but if I’m not working with you, it’s going to be unanswered until I can squeeze in a reply.

I am all for criticizing Wells Fargo as a corporation. Our Executive Team and BOD are the criminally overpaid do-nothings.

I am against criticizing the employees, long-term or short-term. Wells Fargo has reaped what they sowed. Wells Fargo Execs and Directors are responsible for everything that is wrong with the bank. They are who have ruined morale, innovation, work ethic, compliance, cooperation, mentorship, honesty, etc.

Wells Fargo employees are just trying to survive the terrible leadership, hoping for a better day.

I’ll do you one better. Wells Fargo, and Wall Street in general, are the ultimate government welfare recipients. Our tax dollars basically go to prop up corporations and institutions that end up making so much money, that they can pay taxes at a lower rate than the average American.. if they pay taxes at all.

Additionally, these entities take more than they contribute to society as a whole. Corporate America is the biggest pyramid scheme of the last 100 years. When you factor in that dead weight organizations attract dead weight talent, it’s really no wonder that we’re at this point now.🤷🏻

This is quite the rant. Sounds like OP is making a good choice by leaving. Adios Gabacho.

If someone generates many multiples of their salary for the company each year is there really a need to account for every second? If they don't, is there really a need to keep them around at all?

OP confuses movement with progress and wonders where the dead weight is.

Can relate here if it helps at all. Not leaving right now. More power to you in that regard.

Managing teams is more like managing hr cases for full time people.
