Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Worried about mass exodus

People are tired - more tired than ever, from what I can see. A lot are just waiting for the right offer to leave. I'm worried about what we'll be left with if as many as are saying they would actually leave, do, in fact, leave. The scarcity of applicants and their quality make it troubling.

I got a job cleaning out the basements of outhouses with a straw. It was a huge improvement in working conditions and work satisfaction over working at Sam's Club.

Everywhere is hiring. You do have options. I got a job with walmart home office and now do very little and get paid way more. You just got to do the applying.

It's not too late to unionize or join the Great Resignation. Either option beats sticking around being mentally and physically abused by an immoral employer.

Why are you worried? Can it actually get any worse?
