Just remember ATT closed the NOC and the Maintenance Administration Office in San Diego not too long ago. Some followed the work to the NOC In Northern California and the Maintenance people followed the work to Pasadena, California . Within 2 years both of those offices were closed and the follow the work option was now in the Midwest. Very creative way to dwindle the headcount!

At least we will have fair union elections after the customer service reps have moved. Those in Local 9509 will have better representation after 12 years of nonsense
When you are surplused: Do not relocate unless you want to relocate again in 1-3 years. These moves turn into multiple “follow the work” schemes.. The best move would be to take an open position close to where you live.
T didn't even have to work that hard to destroy this union. Not that the CWA has any redeeming value to its members any way. Can't. Win. Anything. Especially when you don't even try to fight in the first place. A mewing kitten would fight harder than the CWA.
T is not crushing the Union. T is just slowly picking it apart, one segment at a time. It’s like the lion that went after the weakest of the herd. The so called “leaders” of the Union are soon to loose their sweet positions and actually have to get a real job.

Not at all worth moving all over the country for this company. AT&T has no loyalty to its workers, why would you uproot from your home just to keep working here?
Have moved twice on the T side of they try it again, I'll tap out. Know some that have moved 4-5 times.
Same thing happened in Texas. Business office closed in Waco TX. Several followed their position to Austin TX. A year later that office closed. Some followed the position to San Antonio and some said the he-l with it. I don’t know if those that went to San Antonio are still employed with AT&T. I retired and lost touch with the ones who went to San Antonio. I wouldn’t follow my job with AT&T. You could be here today and gone tomorrow.
Couldn’t imagine moving to retain a position with T given the total lack of job security.
