anybody even entertaining an offer from att please don't there so many better companies to work for that are managed so much better it isn't even funny.

Here's an idea... Get another job or ask Vlad for a promotion. We're not buying it.
There are like 3 guys on here that just spew this cr-p constantly cesspool guy, stinky guy, and scared of a needle guy. Really just stop or find a new hobby something, anything you are a drag on society as a whole not just here.
Her we go again - AT&T is a monolith. Except, it isn't. If it is a good job, good money, good fit, take the job. If it isn't - don't. It's a good job market out there.

Maybe he has given att his all , but can't leave because of age discrimination in finding another job.

We’ve heard the term cesspool in the forum so many times it doesn’t phase anyone one bit. If it’s so bad here, why not hit the bricks and find a company that meets your requirements? But something tells me you’d end up calling it a cesspool, too. You carry bitterness wherever you go.
On a positive note, make a resolution to find a new employer in the new year. Good luck.
it's been mentioned before but where are you are in the company can make an enormous difference in the BS you will have to put up with. I know a handful of people who have recently come into the company (management level) and are happy with their jobs and compensation.
Of course I also know many lazy slackers that have tried to come back to the company only to be denied.
How do you know he stayed? Maybe he found a better job elsewhere and is advising other people not to waste their lives at this place.
And yet you stay. Complaining. And complaining.

If you ever make the mistake of applying with the at&t corporation and they offer you a job, don't just walk away, RUN! Like a bat out of hel!
