I've been following this site for about 2 years now, ever since around the time Chainsaw Charlie came to town.
I have been looking to leave for a while now and have had many, many final interviews which have not panned out. Contrary to popular belief, it is a miracle to get a good job these days. Anyone who has it easy and has multiple offers on the table is either extremely lucky or well connected. Many employers are not hiring seriously right now. And a lot don't want to pay well, even for top talent that can generate significant revenue.
That being said, next year I'm happy to announce I am finally able to leave this place. WF has gone from being on the ropes to being knocked out cold on the boxing mat.
Like many before me on this forum, I was able to get 100% remote, higher pay and higher bonus. I want to thank the people who participated here and told the truth. I'd like to also thank those who told their success stories. It helped me stay sane to know I wasn't alone in dealing with this psychotic and sadistic organization.
Reading this site helped me mentally prepare and deal with the ongoing madness that is WF. It is incredibly valuable, even more than Glassdoor.com. (Maybe only Fishbowl and Blind have more insights), and for that I am grateful. (I have read this forum literally every morning sometimes and actually looked forward to it!!!)
I hope and pray that our fellow comrades can soldier through and either outlast King Charles or get something better...
I also pray for our brethren at BOA, JPM and GS. These are all terrible places to be at right now. The bureaucracy, the inflexibility, the inefficiencies, the patronizing, everything is just overwhelming. And the hardest part is having to fake positivity and make believe that the problems the business has can be overcome by front line workers.
Also many Middle managers have it even worse than individual contributors. So I pray for the good ones among them as well.
I have given extremely candid feedback in the employee survey and basically the company elected to do the exact opposite of what was suggested/provided. So I don't even know if I should bother completing the exit survey, because it's not like they'll listen. Regardless I hope more people are able to leave and obtain better opportunities. As this is what the board of directors wants anyways.
