Working in an office has the same risk of being offshored, and a greater risk of being automated. Office work is not guaranteed work either. Corporations are trying to lighten the load currently. Once that reaches the point they want to get to, they will encourage remote work for those who can and automate where possible to reduce real estate. It's coming for everyone.

I am pro-RTO because I don't want my job transitioned to other countries in the future. I don't want to lose my job because it could be done somewhere virtually.

Why are the people who want to go back upset? They said you’re welcome to do so starting January 10 as long as you’re vaccinated. Go back if you want to. Have a ball.

phh+1epwtl78..according to the email it only applies to the 1/10 return date but ya never know... other return dates could get pushed out too.
Remember they shuffled the return dates for op's awhile back ... we were supposed to go back last so it's possible it was done this way on purpose.

I am strongly opposed to a hamfisted one size fits none RTO "strategy". If I ran this show, many more jobs would be WFH full time than we currently have. That said, the people that are down voting coworkers simply because they want to go back should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously, grow up. If you can't handle the concept that there's someone out there that like going into the office you have serious issues that need to be addressed. We're all individuals and we all have our own perspective on such things. Why some people feel the need to hate other people because they aren't in lockstep agreement with them on trivial matters is beyond me. Just stop. Nothing good can come from it and there's plenty of downside to such pointless conflict.

Is this only for the ones who were scheduled to return on January 10th? Or does this delay also apply to those whom were supposed to return February 2022? Thank you

Hopefully more forward thinking minds will prevail and realize that office work is old work. New work is digital and can be done from all over the globe and doesn't require an office. Collaboration can be done remotely or in person with no differences.

I don't get this, at some point, we will be back to the office. I got my wardrobe already ready for first day back, can't wait. I miss my coworkers in person.

Check your Teamworks page. Should be out there now if your LOB is delayed.

Delayed only for those scheduled to return 1/10 - anyone with a later return date will still (for now anyway) be required to return on schedule.
