“ So at a time when individuals and unions all over the country are reaping the benefits of the best job market (from an employee stand point) in over 30 years. And unions and individuals are cashing in with great new contracts, signing bonuses, etc. Our increadibly competent and professional union reps bent over and took the 1st offer from a company that knows it's in a bad spot. Did they even make any demands? Propose anything? Or just roll right over? All you clowns that vote for this deserve less”

You do realize that you don’t have to pay for the privilege of being treated this poorly?

Of course they bent over, spread their cheeks and said, “thank you Sir, May I have another!” LMFAO!

As a manager. Should I actually take the online courses and fly to IL for training to prepare for a strike? That's my assignment.

If it’s an extension of the previous agreement everything remains as is or am I missing something? That remains to be seen

IMHO, This can only spell headcount reduction replaced by outsourcing! Unless of course, T realizes that it needs techs for the fiber buildout and this is just the cost of doing business not to mention the infrastructure stipend it will be receiving will help defray those costs! We shall see which direction T takes in 2022!

Am I alone wondering when the next shoe is going to drop? I can’t remember the last time we arrived at a tentative agreement by our current contract expiration date let alone four months early, with a four year extension and no health care cost increases? I guess the devil is in the details but me thinks something’s going down

What a waste of time and a joke. All the prem techs should opt out if this gets voted in. Why pay dues for a union that doesn’t support you?!

Are these contract extensions put up for a vote for the membership or just approved by the union and implemented?

so I guess they will layoff managers since they won't need them to work the strikes.

“ I wonder whether there should be a cost of living rise in wages instead in lieu of a fixed percentage rise in wages, given the Federal Reserve's propensity of printing new money ($1.4T/year).”

Your union is not that smart.

Good. A 1% addition to mine and my wife's pension when added to the 5.9% SS raise for each will come in handy. Boats are expensive.

Inflation could easily get worse before it gets better.

In response to the person wanting the link, this is what CWA 4340 in Ohio mailed me today. I do not know if Legacy T was offered a contract extension, which was another poster here claimed.
