So at my store they were three opportunities for promotion or so we were told. Tons of people went up for them, than all of a sudden they announced over twelve people were given promotions and raises. I mean what do they do in those interviews? Blow the asm? Very underhanded way of doing things. If they were gonna start given out promotions and raises like candy mayble I would have applied. We have people who only been with the company a few months that got promoted, it’s really frustrating. All I know Is I plan on doing a lot less work next year.

A little update to this post, of the twelve people promoted, four have already left the company. Most put in their two weeks for different jobs, one got released for not getting vaxed. I hear the ones who put in their two weeks after getting promoted are essentially now banned internally from ever working at Barnes and Noble.
If you stay, it’s difficult to feel bad for you. You know what they’re like, you know what they’ve done. You still there? That’s on you.
Why are you still working for this horrible place that takes advantage of good people? You know how badly they treat everyone. You've been warned for years to GET OUT!
If they nuke this I will repost it. Thanks for the suggestion.
If I were you, I'd repost this without the "blow..." sentence. I've seen things disappear from the board for stuff like that. Since you make a good point, I'd hate to see the post go.
