Started with arrogance that they can buy Tmo. And clubbishly making everything Dallas centric.

Downfalls - TMO- DTV purchase- content - content -content - bla bla bla - Digital Life - every streaming product that got progressively worse
Should have bought T-Mobile.
we will bounce back when they sell off Wireline and TMO buys AT&T Mobility.
Dallas Centric eh? I’m from there and moved out a few years back……. You have have that POS of a city……
T-MOBILE would have been fantastic for the company if allowed … very compatible network and service would have been great. The problem was that ridiculous break up fee actually provided an incentive for the Obama Administration to oppose the merger.
This is not part of the problem "making everything Dallas centric" beyond annoying some employees for inconvenience
Don't forget, Ed was no Einstein. That J.A. took credit off of the backs of us working stiffs when things went right and deflected bad decisions as employee failure to execute and market forces when things went bad.
He always received bonus and raises - us workers went 20 years with no raise, no COLA and finally received a 1% raise when Ed decided that we needed to pay more for our concession services so that we could tell friends, family and neighbors how great our service was, not to mention our HC cost us 4% more and our deductibles went way up.
Ed,Randy, Stink ran this company into the ground.
The downfall was leadership at the top, Stephenson and Stankey. Rethink Possible! This is what arrogance buys you.
The downfall hastened by putting a bunch of U-verse re-treads in mobility roles especially in labs. These people never understood mobility and don't care to know. Just throw TechMahindra at it and retire in place.
Excellent! We need a bunch of videos like those that took clips of Hi---r in Downfall. "Stankey finds out that the feds won't let him sell off TW. " or "Stankey finds out that he is not as smart as the guy who sweeps the floor at HBO." You know the meme: he takes his glasses off with trembling hands, screams at everyone, women cry, men look stricken.
The downfall was allowing a company like SBC to consolidated the bells.
