Why did I inherit a bunch of dunce employees. 3 smoke all day. 1 is constantly in the stall crying. 2 just text constantly.
I should fire them all...but no one wants to work anymore.

EMPLOYEES are sick of lazy MANAGERS!! The kind that only care about THEMSELVES and their own needs. Then management wonders why they're constantly getting chewed by Home Office!

Are they your employees or Sams? Maybe they will behave better if you treat them like coworkers instead.
I oversee a staff of about 10 employees. Half of them are absolutely great and half of them are not as much. I get my best ones from unappreciated for Walmart staff. That place seems to suck the life out of them, but when their efforts are appreciated and cultivated by positive reinforcement they seem to be among the best and most motivated to please.
" My" lazy employees... my my my but doesn't some one have delusions of grandeur ...
GET USED TO IT.
