Does one employee have to work in more than one department here?

If I have already been hired here to do one job, then why do I have to help in other departments? It's starting to frustrate me a bit. It’s awful how much they don't value people. I'm satisfied with pay, but do people have to be squeezed for every cent... UGH!

I believe that when you were hired there was something about 'other duties as required', just means that yes, your employment involves a certain amount of flexibility from you. Not saying the place doesn't suck and you shouldn't be looking elsewhere.

You will get a fell how other department's work ,your more than likely sent there because there short handed. Sometime it nice not to go in and do the same thing every day, change it up every once in awhile. I was sent to do other depts. working on the morning crew all of us were when the person in a certain dept. was off so we would go and blitz about 7 or 8 pallets, then go back to our own depts. I liked it so did everyone else.

you ask if people have to be squeezed for every cent..... what company gives away paychecks? it's not difficult to come in & work hard. try to do as much as you can. the day will pass quicker & you may get a sense of accomplishment.

The more areas u know how to work the less likely u are to get hours cut. Quit complaining. It’s work not a vacation.
