Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I'm not going to quit.

I believe it is going to get better. Seen the business ups and downs for 20+ years now. Decidedly miserable the past few. People still need stuff. I make a living working here. It's worse out there, just saying. Come in with the positive attitude, watch out for naysayers you'll be fine here. Got to understand how warehouse works, or be willing to learn. It's not a hard job, but you have to use a pallet jack a lot and stack things neatly. Pretty much put stuff on shelves and make stuff available like you would want it to be in any other place. Just have to be quick. Complainers not welcome, ideas always considered. Not a bad place to work. Some strong to moderate strength help is always needed to maintain certain areas such as beverages and patio furniture in the next few months, but team lift requirements are mandatory. I didn't last 20 some years doing these things if it were intolerable. I got by with a little help most of the time. I like people willing to offer a little help, probably why I'm still working in a warehouse business. Special kind of people.

Any where else is better than Sam's or Walmart. Anywhere!

You sound like a nice person but you are a # for the Walton's. It is just a job correct but it won’t get better. Retail won’t get better. Sorry good luck hang in there.

"Come in with the positive attitude,"

I come in every day with a positive Covid 19 test. Cough cough.
