Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The plan is so stupid, it may just work.

For all the departments fearing being outsourced or threatened to be outsourced overseas. The departments should pool their money together and hire someone to teach them various overseas accents. Then when the management calls in and customers call in and complain about foreign workers. The executives may just think they have already been outsourced ahead of schedule, get a bonus and forget about them. Could be a fun experiment.

The only jobs plentiful are menial labor and no one wants to work them as they are customer facing and we are in a pandemic y'all and unemployment has been bumped up.

At least the people in other countries with so called, "accent," value their jobs and actually show up to work.
The work ethic in America is dead.
Help wanted. Everywhere. Jobs and no one to work them.

Just remember, every large company has a few small pockets of employees that have gone forgotten. These employees are not accountable for any work output. It's going to become more pervasive with all of the full time telecommuting. Cradle to grave, just don't make any waves, keep your head down.
