Short staffed, over worked, under appreciated. The new normal. While inflation eats away at all your savings and investments, prepare for the new normal. The new normal, a world where you can’t possibly exceed expectations because they pile so much on you that you can’t possibly keep up. A world where meeting expectations gets you 80% of your bonus target. The new normal. Lower bonus targets for many positions, with double the workload. The new normal, where they talk about people being the foundation of everything we do, but then walk all over those people with actions and creating an atmosphere of perpetual stress. The new normal.
Haha to the person that commented “suck it up it’s the new normal” sounds like your one those overpaid people currently working at Cenovus that just delegates work and take credit or your someone from HR lol…

Literally every single team in Cenovus are going through this. People are burning out and leaving without another job lined up. Yet deliverables and expectations are higher than ever. AP turns a blind eye, he doesn’t care just so long as we’re keeping cost low and all the executives and share holders are reaping the benefits.
I was a January 26th "victim". Since that time I:
- Collected EI
- Had a great summer at the lake
- Secured a better job with more prestigious title
- Witnessed my former group repost my position
I can only imagine what sort of "losers" are unaware of how Cenovus operates and applied. Ha Ha Ha
My team as well. Burnout and many are actively looking and I can’t prevent them.
Just wait until they cut more this year!! They have not completed the full 2100 announced last year another 400plus to go
the most entertaining part is watching them panic and try to bring back the people they cut only to be told to pound sand
They don't care, it's all about the numbers.
