Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

A serious question

How do you get yourself to work hard and give it your all when you know that your hard work will most likely be rewarded with a layoff?

They want experience. So they can move somewhere else, the reality is all they know how to do is push parts.

They get new jobs and then they get demoted or fired. New company doesn’t put up with management style of Honeywell.

Like the previous poster said, it’s a pool. Some get more and some get less as long at the total averages the pool %.
Entirely correct also that if you have done your very best to help the company and done your very best to help your friends and were honest with both then your conscience is clear

It’s actually a great question by the OP. The threat of layoff is always there, there are plenty of other jobs out there. And let’s face it, the raise pool has been 2.5% for the last 15 years. It won’t change. You really have to be self motivated these days, go home with a clear conscience that you did your best.

"I am originally from Pune, got transferred to the USA and I can always find someone local and drive them to do the work for me. Sure they curse me and call me id--t but I made them do the work - for me. Then I get rid of them and bring my buddies to replace the people that quit.
It’s life . I prefer my friends. Simple as that. Everything works that way. And if one believes that is unfair… grow up. Same way even if not from my area."

And we wonder why people are quitting in droves.

I just did the minimum and looked for another job. Now happily employed elsewhere.

My motivation is gone. I'm lucky if I can get myself to do the bare minimum.
